West of the Mississippi now. Felt good when I crossed the river yesterday. Nice smell in the air: flowery/historic. So I was really tired last night and slept in a little extra. I've got another 500 mile day today and was worried about getting up too late. But nice surprise, I crossed a time zone somewhere yesterday and actually gained an hour. CST. I'll take that as a positive sign.
Met some nice folks at breakfast today. Retired types travelling westward to Kansas City. The husband used to work at Disney World. When I asked them about the weather that'aways, the standard reply, "rain." I don't know why I even ask anymore. So stepped outside to get the bike ready and guess what, it's cold too.
Destination today: Wakeeney, KS.
Wow Danny!! it's been so far a wet trip, but boy your kicking ass!!!! Good for you, keep up the good work and stay alert!!!! So would you say that by the end of today's journey you would almost be half way into Vegas??? are you gonna get your speedometer fix when you get to Vegas?? It's been raining here also and it' s gonna be shitty weather all week but looks like when we get 2 vegas its' gonna be real nice...3 more days and i'll c u there...keep the rubber up!!!!
