Coast 2 Coast

Roadside stop. Met up with the group somewhere on the road to California. But we split up into two groups. Will explain later.

Made it to Monterey. This was a cause for celebration. Exuberance. Really, this is a milestone in our lives. In fact we are celebrating right now. Will write later when I'm more coherent.

  1. Don't forget to go on the 17 mile drive and see the seals. It is one of the best rides you can take.

  2. Hey, Dannie glad to hear you made it to LV safely. Must have been one heck of a journey alone. I would not have tried it when I was a youngster like you. The PCH is really neat. Enjoy, but try to keep your eyes on the road. Have a safe trip and keep your rubber on the pavement and watch out for those rat-bastard smokies in KS. They can hide everywhere...lol. Hope the weather is better for your return trip. Take care, "THE DON"

  4. Hey Timo...Glad to hear that you guys are enjoying CA. I would give anything to be with you guys right now! I've done the PCH drive by car, can't imagine what it would be like on a bike. Malibu / Santa Monica are amazing! In Malibu, you MUST stop by Neptunes, that place I told you about. It's on the PCH, just North of Santa Monica.

Also, taking Mulholland Drive is an absolute MUST!!! Now, be careful, but enjoy. Stop often and take lots of pics. Especially of the Hollywood sign...cheesy, but you have to. Deep into the drive there is a biker bar... scary Hells Angels kinda biker bar. Even I wouldn't go in, and you know I have balls the size of Godzilla...I didn't even slow down to take a picture. Let me know if you are going to LA.
    Peace -

  5. Slinky we tried for the 17 mile trip but the ranger told us "no bikes." Their loss.

Don, as a retired Detroit cop, I appreciate so very much that comment about the KS smokey. LOL. Thanks for the wishes.

CCC thanks will try for those points tomorrow.
